Cancer Support Coaching at TorreLuce Coaching
The Anchor & Compass Model — A Gentle Introduction

About Mark
Mark brings a calm, steady presence shaped by his own lived experience of cancer. His journey taught him what it feels like to face uncertainty, navigate complex emotions, and move through moments when life becomes unpredictable. These experiences now inform the way he supports others, with compassion, steadiness and a deep respect for each person's unique path.
Throughout treatment and recovery, Mark learned the importance of having space to talk, think, breathe and make sense of what was happening. He also discovered how powerful it can be to have someone alongside you who is not trying to fix, direct or minimise what you are feeling. This insight sits at the heart of his coaching approach.
The Anchor and Compass Coaching Model was inspired by both Mark's lived experience and his professional coaching practice. The Anchor represents finding steadiness, grounding and support in the present moment, while the Compass represents navigating uncertainty, exploring possibilities and moving towards what matters most. Together, they provide a simple but powerful framework for helping people navigate periods of challenge, transition and change.
Professional Background
Mark is an accredited coach (ICF ACC and EMCC Practitioner) with many years of experience in senior finance roles across the UK and Europe. His professional career has included operational, commercial, transformation and project leadership roles, giving him a deep understanding of how people navigate pressure, complexity and change.
Alongside his coaching practice, Mark volunteers within cancer support communities and is committed to creating safe, reflective and compassionate spaces where people can explore what they need at their own pace.
How Mark Can Support You
Today, Mark offers coaching as a gentle, complementary form of support for anyone whose life has been touched by cancer. He works with people during treatment, after treatment, and at any stage where cancer has disrupted life, relationships, confidence or direction.
His focus is always on the person, not the illness.
“You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes the most important first step is simply creating space to pause, reflect and find your bearings.”
